PTSA board meeting
Description: PTSA board meeting
Date: April 28, May 28, June 26
Time: 6:00pm
All TWA PTA meeting are schedule on the 4th Monday of each month at the school Media Center starting at 6pm.
General Assembly will be in Auditorium from 6pm -6:30pm
GRADFESTis Saturday, June 7th, after graduation, from 10 pm - 4 am and is a drug and alchohol free party for Andrews, Central and Southwest Graduates and their guest. Parents and teachers are needed to help serve shifts in the various activities such as serving food, helping in the Casino and other games rooms that we provide for our graduates.

Pat Simmons oversees Gradfest and has Volunteer Forms available in the office. Contact Pat at gretestmom@aol.com.

We want to provide some new activities at Gradfest, such as Guitar Hero and DDR. Maybe we can have a session for Beginners, Intermediate and those who think they are Experts!

Another new idea is a Coffee House room and we are looking for entertainment for a medium sized room, so not large or loud bands. So far we have a guitarist and hopefully some card and other trick acts. We are in the process of finding out what we can do in this room - hopefully serve hot and cold coffee drinks and may have Senior's Art displayed and students to read poetry in between acts (if we can get teachers from all 3 schools on board to help organize). We are looking for talent to represent the varied cultures and students we have. Talent can be students, teachers or staff acts from each school, acts that you know from the community. Remember, this is for volunteers, not for pay and we need people from 10 pm - 3 am! We will also need basic sound equipment, if you have access to that. Contact Libby Nixon at 886-7841 or libnix@triad.rr.com, if you have suggestions or would like to help.

Tickets are available at Andrews High School from Mrs. Cranford in the Attendance Office, where parents can sign out how many tickets they take. Carmelita Dockery has tickets and you can pick them up from her at the Office of the Police Station at 1009 Leonard Avenue. ALL MONIES ARE TO BE TURNED INTO CARMELITA DOCKERY. Contact her and she will get back with you to collect the money. We are asking parents and teachers to purchase at least 1 ticket and if possible, get additional ones to sell to benefit our school and student body. Our Goal is to sell 100 tickets so our school can receive $500.00. Potential is great-it's up to how many we buy. This event will be a great chance to buy Mother's Day presents, Graduation gifts and Wedding gifts.

The $5 ticket required to get into the May 3rd, 6-10am event is good for $5 off your first purchase, and you can shop 20 - 50% OFF on RARELY DISCOUNTED BRANDS AND A CHANCE TO WIN A $1000.00 BELK SHOPPING SPREE. ALL PROCEEDS FROM ADVANCED TICKET SALES ARE RETAINED BY OUR PTSA.

Tickets purchased in the store will be divided equally among the participating charities. Therefore, WE MAKE MORE FOR EACH TICKET WE SELL BEFORE THE EVENT. We also will need volunteers to be at Belk's at Oak Hollow, Saturday, May 3rd, between 6 am & 10 am. Contact Carmelita, if you can help.

Tickets will also be available and money collected from ticket sales may be turned in at our Monday, April 28th PTSA Planning Meeting held in the Media Center at 6:00 pm.
