Best Books for Schools

Best Books for Schools is the result of work by a committee of school library media professionals to identify the best of the books published in the previous year for elementary and middle schools in Guilford County. Through a juried process, committee members seek to identify titles which are outstanding choices for classrooms and libraries by virtue of their relevance to the language arts, math, science, social studies, character education, and other curricula. Nominations, discussions, and voting focused on titles which exemplified literary, factual, artistic, and design excellence.
